Use ResearchCal in AI assistants
ResearchCal has a free, read-only connector (an MCP server) for AI assistants. Ask your assistant about conferences, workshops, calls for papers and submission deadlines in economics, business and political science. Each answer links to the ResearchCal event page and the official source.
The connector does not need an account or a sign-in. It cannot change anything and it does not see your ResearchCal account.
Connector URL
https://mcp.researchcal.com/mcp
Select no authentication when your assistant asks for it.
ChatGPT
If ResearchCal is in the ChatGPT app directory, search for ResearchCal there and add it. If it is not there, a workspace or account with developer mode can add it: open Settings, then Apps, turn on developer mode, create a new app and paste the connector URL.
Claude
If ResearchCal is in the Claude connector directory, add it from there. If it is not there, open Settings, then Connectors, select Add custom connector and paste the connector URL.
Claude Code:
claude mcp add --transport http researchcal https://mcp.researchcal.com/mcp
Other assistants
Perplexity, Le Chat, Grok and other assistants that accept remote MCP servers can use the same URL. Add a custom connector or MCP server in their settings and paste the connector URL.
What you can ask
- Which macroeconomics conferences in Europe have a call for papers that is still open?
- List the submission deadlines in political science for the next two months.
- Give me the details and the official page of a conference from these results.
- Which ResearchCal calendar feed can I add for labor economics?
Check before you submit
AI assistants can summarize or copy results incorrectly. Check the official event page before you submit work, make a payment or book travel. See the disclaimer.
To get new events and changes automatically, add a ResearchCal calendar to Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook.
Use of the connector is subject to the terms of use. The privacy notice explains which connector requests ResearchCal keeps.
